Luna

Overview | History | Abilities | Relationships | Gallery

Luna, also known as Vanitas or The Vampire of the Blue Moon, is a character in Jun Mochizuki's The Case Study of Vanitas. They are a unique figure among the vampires created by the Babel Incident. Whereas vampires are traditionally born on the night of a crimson full moon, Luna was born under a blue moon, a symbol of ill omen.

Ostracized from vampire society due to their unique circumstance, Luna eventually became a well-feared symbol among vampires in their own right. They are the original creator and namesake of The Books of Vanitas, which were supposedly created as a tool for revenge against crimson vampires, and this has led to them and their book being blamed for the existence of vampires' curses.
