A Malnomen is a corrupted, false name given to a cursed vampire. It takes the place of a victim's True Name in the World Formula, corrupting their very being and turning them into a curse-bearer.
Although they can interact with the World Formula, ordinary vampires are apparently unable to create malnomen or otherwise interfere with true names. Only The Book of Vanitas and Naenia have this ability.
